See Lauren Run

May went by way too fast...I have to squeeze these events in...

We had no idea that Lauren was such a good runner.  Not that it's saying much, but when we would go to the high school track for her to practice, she could leave me in the dust...again, that's not saying much but she sure impressed me.

Hershey Track is not my favorite day of the school year...some parents treat this track meet as if their child's future depends on it.  Supporting them is so important, but give me a break!!  Lauren was so excited that Will took the day off of work to see the kids in their events...Jay had a tennis tournament so Will drove back and forth all day.

Lauren is a great athlete!  She has so much dedication and out of all of my kids, she worries and prepares for events like this.  She doesn't expect or necessarily WANT to win, but she wants to do her best, and she definitely did!

She was in the semi-finals for the 100...

And if she hadn't of taken the time to smile at me while she was running, she may have made the finals!!  That's my Lauren...all smiles and giggles!

Seeing still pictures of these races is better than video.  You get to see all their different facial expressions...frozen. Whatever helps them to get across the finish line!!
