We laughed. Hard!

We made a weekend out of Will's triathlon in St. George.  We took the kids to see Brian Regan at Tuachan in St. George on our first night there and we're so glad we did.  He was so, so, so funny - and clean! No nastiness and bad words = relief!!  The kids are still quoting him and laughing between themselves...sometimes they try to tell others the jokes, but it's just not as funny unless you were there.  We've been trying to get the kids to understand that, (eye roll) and I have to keep reminding them that the joke is only funny about the first two times.  They tend to think they jokes are funny past 10 or 15 times. (eye roll)

He made me laugh until I cried.  His facial expressions are the best!  He's so animated and I think that's why the kids like him so much.  It was so well worth the stress of getting stuck in traffic on the way down and of all times and places, running into someone at some remote gas station near Fillmore, who knew Will in the good 'ole days of football coaching.

Stuff like that happens ONLY when you have no time and you're in a huge rush and someone seems to be deprived of human communication and they want to talk for way too long.

That happened!  Poor Will!

So this fun night began our warm, relaxing (wink, wink) weekend in St. George...

Until Grumpa got there...and then Jay and Katie turned to Will and mouthed, "Help us!!"

Grumpa put them to work.  There were some trees that were blocking his view from the back deck...so he cut them down.  And Will, Jay and Katie got to help carry them up to the front yard to get rid of them.  My dad is the only person I know who works in his vacation, and still thinks it's a vacation!!!  Grumpa knows how to reward though.  We got King Burgers and onion rings and later than night (10:00 later) we went for ice cream shakes!  Now that's what I call a vacation!!

But before we could go laugh and eat grease and cream to our hearts content...Will had to swim... in very cold, frigid waters!

Practicing to swim in waters that are colder than the water I drink...sounds like fun, huh?  Will's arms and face were pink and frozen when he finished.

Will has a lot of dedication when he's focused on something...another trait that makes him even more wonderful to me.
