Team Spike and Ralph Moller - On our way down here from Spann we had a hold-over at Marmall Air base in Mesar-e-Sharif. It’s a German post and our time there was awesome. Their facilities are so nice! Leather furniture rather than plywood boxes, for example. US funding goes to the ANA rather than luxury for US Soldiers, a sacrifice I’m happy to make. But it was fun to take advantage of the German’s hospitality! While we were there Ralph Moller, Mr. Universe 1986 and the big gladiator in the Russell Crowe movie “Gladiator” (great movie) was visiting the troops. As he approached us in the terminal waiting area he said in a strong German accent, “Now here are the real Gladiators!” He was really cool and the man is huge. He posed for pics and signed autographs while telling us of conversations he had the week before with Arnold in LA.
