Will and the kids came home from the day of skiing/snowboarding a little while ago.
Jay came in with a splint on his left arm.
We just got home from the Dr.s office.
Broken.
Again.
Compression fracture on his radius...it gives me the heebie-jeebie's to look a the x-ray!
Same arm he broke almost a year ago, but now it's broken in a different place.
Negatives: No more snowboard lessons this year. No more basketball games this year. He just had his first game last Thursday...and of course I didn't take any pictures because I was planning on taking pictures at the NEXT game. The cast will be above his elbow...again. And yesterday, Willie chewed up his new DS game from Christmas. Jay's in the slumps!
Positives: Jay got 2 good snowboard lessons. He got a ride in the toboggan or "meat wagon" as Will called it, today. Not many people get to experience that! Right? His "jobs" around the house will be easier (yeah, right! what jobs?) And maybe he'll get a little female sympathy at school! U-huh!
Grandma Jane is saying: Jay, this too shall pass!
Any ideas on getting an already moody, teenager with another broken arm, who just lost his favorite DS game out of the slumps? I tried the food path, and it didn't work. (food always works for me, at least!)
