Look Who's a Big Girl Now!!

Before Will left, Emma never-endingly told us that she wanted the training-wheels off her bike. We were kind of slow because we were hurrying to finish the house and there was 2 FEET OF SNOW ON THE GROUND!! or so. She kept telling us that she could ride a bike, which we didn't believe because neither Will nor I had taught her how. Well, being the baby of the family and going to families houses with bikes sans training-wheels, Emma taught herself how to ride a bike! Sure enough, when Will took the training-wheels off her bike before he left - Emma took off like a pro! So a few weeks ago, Jay needed a bike for a scout triathlon activity and our precious, chewing-everything-in-site dog, had eaten half of Jay's bike seat off. That would be a fun ride! So while Jay got a new bike, Emma did too because she is getting too big for her old one. (AND Willie had chewed her seat off too.) What kind of a child leaves their bike laying on the ground for the dog to chew? MINE!

So this, after all that explanation, is Emma on her new, bigger bike. Even though she can't sit on the seat and touch both feet to the ground, it only took her about 5 minutes to figure out how to get on and off and how to start riding. So if you drive by my house, you will often see a cute little blond girl, maybe in her pj's, without her hair combed and without shoes on, of course, riding up and down the sidewalk! And sometimes a little white dog chasing after her!
